Plenty of Ice in mine please mate

Cards on the table time:

I drink rather a lot of Gin & Tonic but it must be with Ice.

If I'm in a pub I have to ask the staff to fill the glass with Ice and then put in the G&T. At home I used to go through a bag of ice a week and then some. I would find I had run out, the supermarket had run out. I one spent the evening (Sunday with my wife) searching Huddersfield for some Ice. We couldn't find any anywhere! We ended up in a Off Licence where we asked the owner do you sell Ice, no he replied but if you want some I can give you some. He came out of the back of the shop with a carrier bag full of Ice, turned out he had a private members bar upstairs and the ice machine downstairs! I paid him for it obviously!

So what is he getring at I can hear you ask. FFS get on with it etc!

Well last month I went into Comet and there on offer was an Ice making machine. £99 for a personal Ice machine. I had to have one. I sweet talked SWMBO and bought it. Its fantastic, I now have all the Ice I need, we are having a bit of a do! and I am building up my stocks of ice for it I have Kg's of Ice in the freezer!

The machine is no bigger than a portable TV with VCR, it produces 12 cubes every 20 mins. I now have the PERFECT GIN & TONIC at home.

If you are like me and need (want) Ice with your favorite drink go to Comet and buy one these are brilliant.

The problem with ice is that it dilutes the whisk[e]y/laphroig/Glava/brandy (Delete as appropriate) that l'm drinking.

Unless you drink it quick.

Laphriog, I was out with a mate of my dads the other week and he said that this is one of the 2 best whisk[e]y's in the world. I forgot to ask him what the best was!!

I do like the taste of gin but it needs to be really cold with very little ice so best kept in the freezer and sipped neat, night night

Probably, I've never had any problems in that department since Gordon became my mate! Even named the house Juniper House in hommage to Mothers Ruin!!
