Help is there a very, very, very easy way

Hi/

All you clever computer literate nice people, I have looked and tried the how to part of the forum, but ill be buggered if I can post normal size photos, only the Tiny Pics ones.

Now you lot seem to post with ease larger ones, what I want is an easy way of putting them on the forum that my very old and alcohol damaged brain can get round!, without weasel words and magic symbols, something like taking it out of the frame and sticking it on the screen.

Why is life so hard for us old folks, please be gentle.

Go to www.tinypic.com

Select the “Browse” button. This should link to the “My photos” bit of your computer. Select the pic you want to show on here by double clicking it. Then click on the “Host it” button
After a while (depending on if you are using broadband or dialup) you will get four boxes each with a web address in them.

Select the THIRD ONE DOWN, the one with [img] at the front. Highlight (click at the beginning of the entire bit of text in the box and move it to the end making the box go black) then right click your mouse. This should bring up a menu with some options on it. Select “copy”
Back to YD, get to where you want the pic in the text and right click again. The same menu will pop up. Select “Paste” The bit of text you highlighted should appear. That’s it.

Thanks, but what I get is a resized smaller picture, what I want is a same or slightly smaller than the original one.

I have just registered with them, when I tried it out it also reduced the photo down to Tiny Pics size, what am I not quite getting here, am I missing some easy point?.

Umm i dont think so........

Sometimes when i host a pic it is still huge and i have to re-size it. Anyone else got any ideas?

Nope, you're not missing anything. I have to resize all mine when I post them too. The larger images are smaller in Ks (if that makes sense) than the smaller ones as they have less resolution - or something like that.

I use photobucket and while the photos on the site are small versions, when you post a link it brings up the full size version of the pic if you copy and paste the link starting [IMG] (I think lol lets try)

That's cos you are copying the wrong link - not the one starting <img but the one starting [IMG marked as Img not Tag

The link for my photo I posted above is [ IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/LynneHutchinson/Maldives/maldives125a.jpg[/IMG] without the gap of course lol

try [ IMG] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/y229/kirklees/samme.bmp[/IMG] without a gap
umm looks like the original photo you uploaded to photobucket isn't that big, so there lies the problem
