Ah, a Thinkpad too! You can be safe in the knowledge that it'll endure all kinds of punishment and still work... I've seen one dropped on the main road in Holborn, crack the screen, the main case, hard drive flying out across the road and STILL work when said Hard Drive reseated... I spilt water all over mine and, once dried out, it STILL booted (sadly, the graphics card was fried) but it still kinda worked!
