My new Theory....DIR bungee
I was wondering why almost all threads end up linking back to a DIR debate and then I realised, Dir concepts are linked to YD by an invisible bungee.

Whenever a debate about an aspect of diving, or for that matter a non diving post, goes on for more than 5 responses the DIR bungee is twanged and a DIR connected post must appear (be it by a DIR Diver or Non DIR diver, be it pro or con DIR). Due to the elastic nature of Bungee the longer a thread continues the frequency of DIR related posts must increase.

So thats it, I've found the DIR Bungee, it was on the internet the whole time.

Living in deepest Bedfordshire I have no idea what Conor is woffling on about. You either like bungee on your kit or your don't, defend your beliefs.

I dont think it would be called a bungee though, as string or cord is cave line, so maybe Cave Elastic would be more appropriate?

Edit: Doh, Just remembered its shock cord isn't it? So the DIR Cave Shock Cord? would that sound better?
