Warning - Times site hacked?

Just had a call come in about www.thetimes.co.uk.
It's been redirected to www.rug-munchers.com.

We use a proxy/cache (Bluecoat) and it was only users by-passing the proxy that had this happen to them.

Once you'd done it, everysite that you went to was redirected to the porn site until the browser was restarted.

Turbs

If you hear it has been sorted can you let us know. I usually read the newspapers on-line at lunchtime, so will avoid them until I hear different.

Cheers

I only get the chance to read them at lunchtime - I'm on YD the rest of the day

We're still trying to work out where it's happening, in case it's just our ISP.

Potential DNS Pollution?

My DNS Server shows times.cluster.newsint.co.uk as 143.252.148.161

My ISP is MCI.

Could be, I pinged times.cluster.newsint.co.uk and got 143.252.148.161,
however www.times.co.uk gives 66.154.12.142.

I've also tried from a BT broadband link (our normal ISP is Star) and it seems ok.

I'll try some buffer flushing, I think.

Seems fine, I've just gone out through 2 proxy servers one via UK and the other via France

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/ is the official URL for the paper, and from my machine that works fine (resolves to that 143.252 address).

Turbs - that 66 address you quoted is owned by some dodgy outlet in St Louis in the USA called Cyber Wurx.

(I've removed the listing as it's not something we want spidered)

So it's definitely DNS pollution somewhere.

Oh - and www.times.co.uk resolves to 212.227.118.84 which is within Oneandone's network (Schlund AG) in Germany.
