Was The Bard Ever a Diver?

Just been looking at the "Surface Interval" forum and in particular a thread called "Size 14-15 Fin problem",

Made me think about the Bards work :-

"Much ado about No Fins"

is this evidence of the Bard being a diver? Reckon there's loads more clues in his work , but can we out them?
