| Thanks for your sentiments folks. To answer a question many of you have been asking, the police have now been involved. The problem is, there are no witnesses (he saw to that) and the area it happened within the hospital has no CCTV, which suggests me me he was aware of that and that's why he did what in did in that particular area. There isn't even any of the tiny cameras that we can't see in that area either. We've got the big white CCTV cameras which are supposed to be seen, but (eg in the lifts) there are tiny ones that can't be seen. Also, the area it happened was supposed to be locked according to his manager (thanked her silently for that nuggest of information), so either someone has been negligent in locking it, or he has had a hand in unlocking it. I'm trying not to get worked up about the second investigatory meeting I have on Friday where they want to 'clarify points taken in my statement...' I'm told it's probably to clarify the actual time, date, place, what I did (shame I didn't knock his teeth out) etc. On the home front, I think I've overdone it. When I step in the front door the smell of bleach and cleaning fluid assaults my nostrils...

| Want to come clean my place? I'll even cover the petrol. I've got a lot of ironing too, and there's plenty of housemates who can do with similar. That said, I know many YDers who would say after your experience it is frying pan into the fire I've seen similar cases which often turn into absence and sometimes long-term absence from stress and/or feeling unable to return to work. It does force your employers hand somewhat, as if you can't be in the same room as the person then you have good reason not to be at work. They would struggle greatly to sack you or really do much other than ensure the other person is not around, which can be difficult but possible. Then you can go diving for a long time. I'd suggest 6 months in Tenerife, seems to be the done thing... Digs. |

| dam digger beat me to it, but in my defence my cars proberly in a worse state than his and needs more cleaning, but apart from that well done for reporting the TW*T, if you had of let the other half sort it out, he would'nt have known where the cameras were so he would have been nicked (unless you brief him first) there will be allot of people on here that will want to get you dressed in rubber and go diving just post in the buddy section ... good luck diving holidays.... well get down to the south coast and get some diving in on some great wrecks or put a few PADI courses under the belt so to speak best wishes for what ever you do Graham PS dont let the "Spinless no Balls BASTA*D" get to you then he's won

| I just want to get back to work now. See, this happned on 20th July, and I have a feeling the NHS are dragging their heels over this in the hope one of us will get fed up and resign, so as far as they're concerned it's resolved. However, I love my job, and don't see why I should back down when I'm the innocent party. I've now got my 'angry' hat on and am gunning for this guy's blood. I would like to nail his bollo*ks to my doorpost, but as I've just cleaned front door, windows and scrubbed the step it would be a bit messy and I would have to do it all over again. However, in view of the seriousness of this they also have to make sure they've got it right before they decide what to do. My other half is making the "why don't you go diving?" noises as well.

| Sorting this out in 'your own way' may have felt better for a while, but the person in question would be free to do it again to someone else. Good on you for doing it this way. While you are on full pay, make use of the time off. Dont let it get you down as the day will probably come when it's all back to normal and the guy has been dealt with in the proper legal way and you will be back to work. A couple of weeks back and you will be looking forward to booking your holidays This way, there is less chance of him getting off with this. It will follow him round for years in both his work and personal life, and that will hurt more than a good beating - Err no, telling off by your OH. (Or any one of a number of blokes on YD who would be happy to 'settle' this for you)
