Bleugh!

In an attempt to get rid of a persistant and annoying cough which I've had for over a week, I bought some vile muck called Covonia Mentholated Cough Mixture.

I've tried the yummy, drink-all-you-want honey and lemon stuff and it doesn't work, but this revolting liquid tastes like something you'd use to clear drains and leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.

Has anyone tried this? Is it worth persisting with?

I have a bottle of some sort of muck at home that works a treat - I'll let you know later

You know that Covonia stuff will be crap - just look at the advert

I rather like Covonia (but then again I am strange). In fact I have an enormous bottle in my bathroom and regularly take a swig even if I haven't got a sore throat...

Yes, I did notice that one of the ingredients was liquorice. Doesn't taste anything like the doodah in a sherbet fountain to me.
