| Yep, I get the odd few through my spam filters. I usually just submit them to our Spam analysis team. They are considered spam, but they keep changing them so that thay have few "spam-like attributes" (But then my company do make anti spam/anti virus products.... | I get about 6 a day. I have figured out the email address they are being addressed to, and it is one which was on a (now defunct) website, which had automatic forwarding on it. They are usually headed up with the title along the lines of 'important please read'.- which, in my view, is a cue to hit the delete button! As I had identified this address, I have set up a rule in outlook which deletes them strainght away, but does cause confusion if i click 'yes' to the 'new mail has been received would you like to read it now?' message. Are people really daft enough to fall for this?

| Thunderbird's spam filter seems to be doing a good job of spotting them and consigning them to the junk folder. |

| Been getting a lot of these recently. I now send my e-mails via Gmail which catches most of them out. I also use Cloudmark Spamnet which is very effective. I get some 100 spam a day. Only an idiot would take this advice by spam e-mails, unlikely it would affect stock values at all. Also they tend to be American based, great fat of use for most Yd'ers who don't live there. ![]()

| I'd heard that people are using these types of emails to affect share prices and make quick gains on the stock market... I wouldn't try buying the shares recommended, but I think they have enough impact to make the original senders a fair amount of cash. Pick a cheap stock, buy lots, hype it over spam and then sell when the price climbs... |

| Share tips from an internet site - c'mon guys we're not that daft are we? |

| If this works for the spammers, it'll work for you too; providing you dump the stock before they do. Or am I missing something here....? Has anybody taken the time to see what happens to the stock they're ramping? |
