Decent pubs near Heathrow

Anyone know of a decent pub near heathrow?

That old potato eating, bog dwelling, country bunkin Mck F has put on his best suit and shoes with the least holes and is in good old england, staying in a hotel near heathrow. Now because he's all alone and frightened of the big city l'm going to meet up with him on thursday for a few beers, so l need a good pub.

Isn't there one of your lovely traveller communities anywhere near there? You could drive there in your lovely pikey-wagon, Mick would feel at home and you'd be able to drink everyone elses poitin

Dude, good to see you at the weekend. If you get yourself off at M4 J5, turn left and follow down the main road for about 500 yards, and you're at Spearmint Rhino. I used to start work when the girls were coming off shift, and would frequently see them in the petrol station next door. Even at 5am they didn't look like crap.

That's what you mean by a decent pub isn't it?

Digs.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Diving Dude again.

I like that. There's been a couple of gems but this isn't one of them. More cutting than Anne Robinson used to be before she ran out of put downs.

Can I suggest for £15 you could check her into the Heathrow BA lounge. Leave her there, whenever you come back it will be too soon. They have sun loungers and a free bar, as well as young handsome professionals on fancy flights all over the world. You've bought yourself all the time you need, which at your age could be a while. I hear it gets like that once you're past 50...

Digs.

Talking Can I suggest?

The best thing to do would be:

1. continue to Heathrow Airport
2. Buy a ticket to (say) Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, etc
3. Fly "up north"
4. Get off plane
5. Get taxi into local area
6. Any number of decent pubs

Easy really

If you are still looking for a pub then Uxbridge is about 10 mintes away and has a few nice pubs. I lived in Hayes, Harlington, West Drayton, Uxbridge etc and could safely safe the first decent pub north of Heathrow is in Uxbridge......stay away from any with a swastika by the door

there's a nice quiet one on Sipson Lane, just off the Bath road ( main road next to heathrow ), I'd not bother going to Hayes if I was you, they are all awfull, Jump onto the tube and go to Uxbridge, you should find something semi decent there.

there is a good one called the Woolpack in Hayes, back end of pump Lane on the road out to stockley park, strippers too. Not that i would ever dream of going there in works time and be paid to watch naked ladies.
