| No religious stuff should mean no religious stuff and Sikhs have to wear a bracelet, so are they all getting fired. The trouble with consistency is that you have to apply it consistently!!!!! They don't let me carry out the rituals of my religion which involves ritually disembowelling check in staff who annoy me. But heyho I'm working on it. David.

My mate does none of these, just as I do not go to chapel on a Sunday even though I am "officially" a methodist.. This only affects those people that take the whole nonsense seriously - I hardly think the Sikh cabin crew would be allowed their Kris. Besides the issue is of dress code - if BA have a corporate turbine (or hijab for that matter) their staff are free to wear it. Chris |

| Just to recalibrate the discussion to the facts - heaven forbid BA customer facing staff are not allowed to wear any visible jewellry (except, I believe the usual wedding ring and pair of studs). THe fact that the necklace was a cross was irrelevant except in the mind of the nutty bird who is complaining. Her reason for complaining is that she sees the cross as a necessary part of her religion and if a turban is visible, then why should her cross not be. BA say that you can hardly hide a turban (or Sikh bangles) but it would be very easy for the small cross to be worn beneath the blouse and hence comply. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

| Where do you buy grumpy studs? Or are all studs just naturally grumpy? (We now have lots of room for double entendres) By the way did you hear about the girl who went into a cocktail bar and asked for a "double entendre" so the barman gave her one! David.
