There is a kid's toy that does it, I hade one that was a peiece of blue tranparent plastic. You put the thing that you wanted to copy on one side and blank paper on the other so you could see the reflection and also through the pastic to you hand, therefore you could trace the image. Would that do? The still sell a similar thing, I saw one the other day. r Paul

I have since seen this: Shop for Supergrafix. at Argos.co.uk But it looks a bit tacky and nasty. I also thought you could get one that you could alter the size of the copied image, which would be an advantage.

IIRC, the mechanical way of doing this is called a pantograph, they can change the size. I'll just google it to make sure I'm not BS'ing - it has been known r P Edit: there is a little java app here, I think that some are adjustable. and they will also do 1:1 if you use the 2 outside bits and fix the middle.

I have just been told it is like the Argos kids version I posted a link to, but a 'grown-up' one. It apparently also copies objects, like people and landscapes, not just pictures. It is for my Mum, who is doing a bit of painting.

| Epidiascope? Looks like a box full of lights with a lens on the front. Rather like a slide projector to look at. You used to put them on top of a book to project it on a wall. Gosh I haven't seen one in years. |
