| Recommendations please- intro to digital photography course (not u/w) My dad has just got a digital camera. Now my parent's photos are legendarily crap, with missing feet/heads and shoddily framed shots. So I'm after a short course (1-2 days) that will go through the basics. Preferably somewhere round the E.Mids. Any recommendations?

| I have been looking around for similar things, however, the ones I have been looking at are around london/reading. The 2 day courses over a weekend are looking to cost between 180-250GBP if you wanted a price comparison. All the courses with hands-on supervision. The other thing that might be worth trying is looking up photographers in your area, give them a call and ask for a quote for a session. I was going to do one for potrait photography with a local photography where I was quoted under 100 for a day. |

| Jessops regularly organise training courses for beginners etc and they are held at their head shop in Leicester. Check Jessops.com or email them to ask when next courses are available.

| Looked at OU courses and they are a bit in depth. Just want a "point and shoot" intro course. The Jessops ones look bob-on.

| The adult education centres around us run courses on digital photography, either as evening classes or one day workshops. Have you checked for any in your vicinity? |
