| In this day and age it appears that there are those amongst us who have forgotten how to communicate in a non-verbal manner. I have been reading posts where the author has resorted to "TXT TYPE". If I recieve a text on my moblie telephonic device, then I accept that I will receive messages in this manner due to a) the limited number of characters available per message and b) some people not willing to type out the full words. I cannot understand the need for people to use this same "shorthand?" when they have a keyboard infront of them. Occasionally people due sumbit posts from their mobile telephonic devices, and may then have jusified cause to abbreviate. Was there not a report in the last twelve months of a girl submitting an exam paper written in "TXT TYPE"? Surely if this continues we will lose the beauty of the written word. I use abbreviations at work everyday, both verbally and written. But, in final documents I aways use full and correct dialogue. Paul

| Well said, the language of Shakespeare, Churchill and many others deserves better than to be chopped up! It looks so sloppy and ignorant. David.
