Couldn't go for a swim last night, bad timing.

Diving cancelled tonight!!

So it's going to the club and dancing for a couple of hours. Tomorrow gonna play with the boat, then out dancing afterwards.

Sunday gonna do a 10k as fast as I can, it's not a measured course but there will be some fast runners there for me to chase!

I went to the gym again last night, but found it very hard going. No idea why but my performance/ability seems to be up and down all over the place at the moment. I can only put last night down to a stressful day that had made me quite tense. I certainly felt it in my shoulders on the weights.

In the gym early tomorrow morning as C has her cardio induction

lots of things can mess up your training, hydration and nutrition are 2 that i've found can really stop a training session cos you just feel like its too much effort and your tired before you begin.

stress helps me oddly cos i get really into it and tend to push myself more.

As Soggy says, there are many things that can affect performance.

I hate getting up early on a Sunday morning to run a race, I usually feel crap when I start, but for some reason I run a lot better than running in the evening!!

Enthusiasm can wane by the evening I suppose.

Then went over to the weights to do some of the exercises that the physio has prescribed, and at the same time watch the incredibly toned stunning blonde do part of her work out So it's not all bad at the gym.

Hopefully will get out tonight for a real run and see how I feel tomorrow, when it's all ruined by a whole day of six nations drinking, uh, rugby

Afterwards went out to celebrate going back to the gym with a meal and cocktails at TGI's Knackered in work today though, but that's mainly 'cos I've been up chatting to some fine young thingwhen I should be sleeping

I was in the pool at 7.45 this morning and swam 100 25m lengths in an hour.

I've lost just under a stone in total and the blood pressure is at the lower end of normal, until I speak to Grandude of course

Safe diving,
Steve
