I'm going to do a nice easy 10km around Roath Park tonight to see how it goes (well I'll be timing it because of this race).

What are the sprint-tri times? I'm thinking it would probably take me 1.5hrs to do all that (and I haven't been on a real bike in about 6 years!).
See a 'nice easy 10k' doesn't exist for me. I do 'sprint' tri because the run is only 5k (admittedly a longish 5k in this case!). Not sure how long cosmeston will take me, the winner last year did it in just over an hour at which point I was finishing on the bike! I am looking at about an hour and a half (towards the back end of the main pack), the last place was pushing 2 hours so you have no excuse :-)

Well it doesn't exist for me either at the moment The 10k turned into a 5km, but at the same time I did do it in 25 mins My target for the race is less than that (ideally <22.5 mins).

I'm rapidly trying to find excuses not to do the tri

Getting back into training after recovering from London and the broken foot.

Monday night Badminton, end of season, need to find something else for Mondays
Tuesday night at th track doing speedwork
Tonight, I've just got back from an 8 mile run, very hilly, my calves are feeling it.

Next Tuesday, if I can make it is a 5 mile race at Cubert.

Well, I've tried everything over the last seven months - running 3-4 times a week, cycling, walking, calorie counting, and nothing is working. I've visited the docs and we can't find anything 'wrong' so I've bitten the bullet and rejoined Slimming World.

My diet, having lost loads of weight on Slimming World before, is still relatively healthy and doesn't contain much processed food at all. However, I obviously need to be a bit stricter in what I'm shovelling into my fat gob as it's travelling straight south to my fat ass.

One of the things I really struggle with though is the concept of having to eat more, but I'm sure I'll get over it

Wish me luck with my willpower folks. I know Slimming World works for me and the physical pain of having to hand over hard-earned cash to get weighed every week is enough to really concentrate my mind!

I'll let you all know how I get on.

Hxxx

Any tips on how to mend a broken foot? I'm sure it doesnt work like that but mine still hurts! ALOT! The doc said I wont be running for at least another 8-12 months!

FFS don't give her a foot - she gets into enough trouble with six inches
On a serious note tho' have you tried dipping your foot in dog poo. It doesn't help the healing much - but it does stop you from biting your toenails
