Lots of running, couple of halfs, a few 10km races, and my first XC race. Still going to the gym lots and have lost lots of weight. Still a few more pounds to shift in the next few months though.

All that said I feel like crap today, went out for a works xmas party and I'm suffering badly

Hi,

I have had a roller coaster ride as far as weight control is concerned. I went from around 145Kg to 95Kg in a period of 6 months. That was hard but it is pretty doable.

Just don't listen to the doctors and especially don't listen to your local Italian chef, who will say "Buta Akhmed.... ifa you don'ta eata da carbohydrates, youra body willa be destroyda"
Giovani (owner of Da Nannis in Hurghada, which is next door to my house) tells me: "what do you mean you can't eat my spaghetti? Is there something wrong with my spaghetti?"

Download and listen to this, it really makes sense and it is basically how I lost aroun 100pounds! http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/media/2007-...7-11-17_01.mp3

Started the year 12 stone.

Went abroad in June, came back start of October 10 stone.

By end of november back to 11 1/4. Will be hitting 12 soon.

So no net change at all but +/-2 stone due to going abroad where i get a proper diet and exercise vs the UK where i dont get a decent diet and a lot less exercise.

Ran 10km tuesday without really struggling but bollocksed up my ankle meaning no more running this week.

Got a shock today

went into hospital so had to have a quick once over.

Blood pressure up from 120/65 to 140/80.

Weight up from 14.5 stone to 15.5 stone (although the weigh in was fully clothed so I reckon that accounts for 7lbs!)

So.....2007 was abject failure!

Roll on 2008 and a fitter leaner me!

My wife says I've got to loose 2 Stones before I can buy a Twin Set!

Good incentive.

Are you sure?

Maybe it was

"If you buy a twinset then be prepared to lose a couple of stones!"
