Just a little swim tonight, it was bloody hard work. I haven't been to the pool for 8 months, I go back and my arms are knackered and I didn't even do half the lengths I used to!! I was using arms only though, trying to conserve my legs.

8km run last night (not the important detail, except my bad knee ). I've discovered this new thing called podrunner, it's an MP3 download of mixed tracks at a fixed bpm (beats per minute). It keeps you running at a regular pace and there's lots of different bpm's for different types of workout!

Run last night was evenly paced throughout (not my usual fast start, middle burn-out, fast recovery at the end). Might try a faster one in the gym tonight to see how that improves my workout

Well at todays weigh in the scales screamed 15 stone exactly at me. So that's 5lb lost since January the second. Off for a walk now!

I used to do my own mixes (27 years as a DJ), can't be a$$ed anymore so I'll have a look. Thanks. (needs itunes and an ipod!, mp3's scroll down)

Went for a swim last night, front crawl (arms only, my legs need a rest), only managed 20 lengths!! 8 months ago that would have been at least 60!! It's amazing how quickly you lose it. I've paid for 10 sessions as it was cheaper, now all I have to do is use them up. I intend to make it a regular Thursday night slot, hopefully getting up to some respectable quantity of lengths.

How I dream of being 15 stone again I would look anorexic though, but I could buy nice clothes that fit.

If it needed either of those I'd be staying well clear. It's just an mp3 download, sorry "podcast" i.e. same old thing renamed by apple to make it sound like their idea

That's what I do (swimming without legs), but originally I did it as the gym only has a 15-metre pool so thought kicking would make a length last no time. A proper swimming friend of mine now tells me that at a 'normal' swimmers level kicking doesn't really make that much of a difference anyway.

It is amazing how quickly you lose it, there was an article that quoted if you don't exercise for 92 hours you begin to lose your fitness. Apparently though 30 mins workout every couple of days is enough to keep fitness levels up for up to 3 weeks (then it starts dropping).

Didn't do my swim this morning, went to weatherspoons curry club. On the plus side I chose the <5% mushroom curry. The 5 London Prides I washed it down with though probably not a good idea. All that after a run went that I won the lightweight award last night

Didn't manage my walk at lunchtime as I was out shopping for Mrs Doo's birthday present... however, I just worked out I walked the same as I did yesterday, by trawling around the shops; just not a quite the same pace!

Didn't manage to buy Mrs Doo a present though what can you get the girl who has everything? (Oh, and that includes me!)
