I know.

As a nod towards healthy eating, I am currently working my way through a bowful of wasabi-coated peanuts. They shouldn't hang around in the old system too long

A box to put it in?

I'm out clubbing it tonight, a couple of hours dancing should be good enough. And before anyone states it's the beer that will mount up the calories, I don't drink alcohol!!

There's a store here in Cardiff that sells a box of nothing for the person who has everything, £7.50, for nothing, hmmm. Well it does come nicely wrapped (well better than I could do it, which isn't much).

Just back from the gym, diary says:
  • 10 minute run @ 12.5 km/hr
  • 15 minute row (2.10/500m), levels 6,8,10
  • 30 minute cycle (>100rpm), levels, 8,10,12
  • Situps 20,13,10 (unaided)
  • 10 minute run @ 10 km/hr and 2.5deg incline, 1 minute sprint to finish

I've been keeping a food/exercise diary (it's only a wee thing) since new year. I find it's quite motivating as you don't like to see blank pages for the exercise bit. Plus you've got comparisons that you can make to previous days/weeks.

have a good weekend all, Lloyd.

Just got back from 2 hours dancing to trance music, it's a bit slow at 140bpm but it was a pleasant workout.

LLoyd, you shouldn't really end on a sprint, you should warm down, about 1 mile at a really slow pace (6-8kph). It helps clear the lactic acid out of your system and stops you feeling so stiff. I couldn't sprint for 1 minute!!

Smile Can I join you?!!!

Righty ho...my 2007 push for increased fitness has begun!!!! Bit of a later starter I know but we have recently got back from a red sea liveaboard which left me pretty much knackered after having to go back to work last week

So I'm not really looking at changing my diet or anything as I already eat loads of fruit and veg and have been veggie since I was eleven. I do have the odd biscuit and chocolate and won't be giving these up but I do want to try and cut down on the alcohol consumption...my current weight is 9 stone 10 so would be happy if I lose a few pounds by increasing my running!

So today I went out for my first run of 2007:

This turned into a run and walk as I had underestimated the strength of the wind!!!! So according to the Garmin run/walk was for 4.19 miles, 43.37 with average pace of 10.25 minute miles (will be using the Garmin differently from now though as I included the 5 mins warmup walk I did this time which brought my average pace down) and calories burnt 808.

So Helen I believe I have a bit of catching up to do with you as I am now several miles behind

Kathy

Another 4.1 mile run for me tonight. The wind was horrendous for most of the way but strong gusts behind me meant running the last 1.5 mile was not too bad
