| Hi Everything you will come up with will sound rubbish to anyone who is not employed by the company (actually it will seem rubbish to the employees too). Why put a badge on it at all? We have a demo room too, and I have yet to see a customer look for a sign on the door Andy |

| Just call it the demo room. Those silly room names only sound cool to marketing and management types. The rest of us just laugh at them. And not in a good way. dan ps. Today I am working from the media lab. Although I prefer to call it the spare bedroom |

| How about the "it was working a minute ago when we tested it but now it's not I'll try switching it off and on again" room.

| A few years ago when we were moving to a different area of the office, plans were posted of the proposed layout. During a coffee fueled late night coding session, we started to name things on the plan, for a laugh. Amongst our wacky ideas, the design room was called 'The Cage!' (two developers go in, one comes out). The managers were housed in Jurasic Park and the top dog's office was named '/dev/null'. We were taken seriously and low and behold, these things got named as suggested. Only thing was, Pete got an award for doing it. I only said that Pete did it because 1) he wasn't in when I was asked and 2) I thought they were looking for someone to blame and therefore sack dan |
