| one of my neighbours has one. he said its "ok" - but not really a true estate - he wished got something a bit bigger. The load bay is OK with the seats down, but in normal mode, its a bit small - ok for a bunch of dive kit, but that's it. The leg room isn't grreat either. The engine is pretty good though and its a lot "sportier" drive than a mondeo or vectra estate. I even drove it the othe week as i had my eye on one. Think i'll get a MAzda 6 estate as they are great value for money for a 1 year old version - and auction houses are selling at about £11K for an under 10K miles 2006 model 2.0

| Dom has one and thinks it's great, loads of room for dive kit and does about a million miles to the gallon (well relative to mine). |

| I would suggest if you want a Ford go for the 2ltr diesel Mondeo Estate. Will take two full sets of dive kit and four adults comfortably and does not cost that much more the the Focus. ![]() |

| Drive one ......sportier than 1.8 diesel lots of room, nice handling platform and lots of miles to gallon db |

| [quote=diverfrodo]I would suggest if you want a Ford go for the 2ltr diesel Mondeo Estate.QUOTE] Agree with that. We have one at work and it takes all our survey kit and regular abuse of going across some of the so called roads on the MoD estate. Quite nice to drive on long runs as well. Definately does NOT live up to the Ford acronym (Fix Or Repair Daily).

| Hi Dan, I've got the 1.8 LX and love it, I can take all my dive gear plus 2 adults 2 teenagers a dog and all their accompaniments etc with no problem, also it does about 53 mpg on a run. HTH Safe diving, Steve

| I have a volvo V50 which is the same platform, engine and gearbox! 2l turbo diesel is a peach, 6 speed manual box makes a big difference. Mate has a 1.6 TD focus estate for work(service engineer, so well thrashed) reckons the engine was still getting better at 20k miles and the handling is grin worthy! Mondeo is a hell of a sized bus!
