Don't forget to have a look at the brakes as well. My fathers car made a clicking noise now and then. When I had a look the brakes were down to the backing material....excellent service considering he bought it from the Toyota dealer 1 month before!

CV joints.

Get it fixed asap, if you ignore it........ lets just say lots of other (expensive bits like gear boxes) things can die too.

Does anyone know where i can get info about how to do this job? how do i actually tell if it is the cv joints? can i see wear or summat, i dont even know what they are or what they do? Is there a haynes manual or summat?

Try ebay eBay.co.uk: Renault Laguna/ Megane & Scenic Workshop Data on CD-ROM (item 220095228248 end time 01-Apr-07 20:19:34 BST)
Try to work out which side, if u can't, ask your local renault garage, tell them its making a noise, get them 2 take it out and diagnose. obviously you won't be bringing it back 4 them to carry out the work but they won't know that, and they don't usually charge to diagnose via test drive. The job should be fairly streightforward.
