Mmmm Porridge.. No one can make a bowl of porridge like my oldd Dad, just the right amount of salt. I sometimes go round there early in the morning just to get a fix

One question, am I dreaming or did they used to do a "butter" flavoured Ready brek

i do just about remember being round my grandmothers house as a small kid and she gave me ready brek and put a sprinkle of soft brown sugar on it - i remember feeling as if i was a prince.

LOL, such happy memories.

isnt it funny how everytime you moaned about school/being young, every adult said how they wished they were your age again and that those would be the best days of our lives.
now i understand where they were coming from!!

Cornflakes..... full fat milk..... I remember when I was 8! Nowadays it's Weetabix with soya milk (cows milk, urgh!), or if I'm in a rush (99.9% of the time) the healthy option of the work's canteen bacon buttie, on BROWN before I get my wrists slapped!

Enjoy the flakes Pete, and I also had visions of your bemused little one getting one mouthful before you scoffing the rest!
