Celestial cheek!

I've been mooned on my way back to work from lunch ..... at 13:10!!!!!!! Well, only one cheek I suppose as I could only see a half moon.

What gives? How often is the moon visible at this time of day or is the apparent rareness of this due to a combination of me being in an office and UK weather which makes it seem rare?

I'd guess the moon was roughly NNE in direction ...................
