Ashes to worms?

The latest concern of mine recently has been what to do with the personal bio-mass when it is no longer required. After all, it hasn't been a bad body to own ......... was extremely fit in its younger years and has endured much abuse over almost 50 years ......... well, it just doesn't seem right to compost it. Not to mention it'll be cold and terribly damp .......... I mean what'll that do the the joints?

As for being incinerated .............. well, I don't like the idea of other peoples ashes getting into my pot .......... they might be really irritating!

I have seen somewhere that ones remains can mixed with concrete or something and made into a bit of reef structure but after a while you'll be covered in weed and algae and won't be able to see anything?

I've had this idea about being pulped and mashed and then mixed with other secret ingredients to form a new line of lady vibrators for the pleasuring of ladies. There are some concerns about slipping into the wrong hands (ie male) ........ if anyone can think of a method of ensuring this sort of abuse doesn't occur? I am also worried that maybe really hot babes don't use vibrators ........ still, any port in a storm eh? The incentive to buy such a product would be to see how long the batteries last!

I'll bet I'd be really unlucky and get some ugly bint with really sharp teeth?

It's no use tutting, one needs to plan ahead!

There's a boat out of Brighton that will scatter your ashes into the Channel, it would reduce the chances of irritation from someone else's ashes and be eco friendly (sort of).

When I raised the subject with my Missus she was decidely 'off' and didnt even want to discuss it, sort of indicated she wanted me buried so she could then be next to me for all time, so I suppose you might want to take your wife's view into consideration.

Personally I think when the bodies gone it's gone and that's it, burial or cremation tis all the same in the end. Having said that I dont want the worms getting me.

Have you thought about donating your bits, either to medical science or some poor sod that might get a few years more out of any number of your organs.

Matt

you don't have to put all your err eggs in one casket.

why not do a bit of each -sort of spreading the investment so to speak.

a bit of cryo might help for the smaller parts.

hope this helps.

Apparently you can have your ashes turned into diamonds nice idea - but I'd rather have the diamonds before I croak it .

Matt,

Sounds like you are going first?

Actually, I wouldn't mind an Indian (American) set up where you are wrapped up and left on a platform above the ground .................. that isn't too worrying .............

I'm down in my will for cremation and have been since I joined the fire service, I figured that may have appeased the fire gods lately I've been having second thoughts and may go with the stuffed and mounted on my armchair with laptop and a beer option

Basically whatever happens I hope I'm dead first

Safe diving,
Steve

I'd like cremation and then to be fired into space to roam the stars eternally.
