The Russians would have done it first and they did de-bunk the whole thing back home. Since they where the Soviet Union, nothing went beyond the wall.

All of this will come to an end in the near future. The japanese are planning to send a probe to the moon with the intention of overflying the original Tranquility base and taking photos. Guess that'll put this bag of shit to bed once and for all.
