| You should be able to get the thread 'helicoiled' that is drilled larger and tapped with a thread insert that will screw into the engine casting and you then screw your bolt into it, bit like a Rawlplug. Any decent engineering outfit should be able to help, call the local dealer and ask them for a recommendation. Only slight issue will be if there isnt enough meat in the casing to take the helicoil. | You don't want an engineer. You want a mechanic. Anyway. You have 2 options: Helicoil to reshape the original thread. Drill it out and retap M10.

| Got it sorted Colin Appleyard's can fit a time sert which they say is better than a helicoil all for about £30 Eddy Wrights wasnt intrested because it isn't a Triumph! |
