| So sorry to hear that Steve, I know how you feel, I lost my dad last October. Of course you will be able to write and read the tribute - and of course you will break down - have someone there, your best friend perhaps, that might be able to continue for you - knowing that they are there for you will give you the strength to complete it even if you are awash with tears. I'll be thinking of you S xxx

| Hi Steve So sorry to hear your news. I hope you and your family are bearing up as well as being expected. Peace and prayers to you and your Dad. Here is a poem that a friend of our family gave us after my Dad died. It comforted us so much we asked the Vicar to read it out at his funeral. I hope it brings you comfort. Love Helen xxx You Can Shed Tears……. You can shed tears because he’s gone, Or you can smile because he lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he’ll come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all he’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him, Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he’s gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

| Oh Steve, I'm so sorry to hear your news. You'll find a way that suits you. We all do when we lose a parent or anyone close to us. For some it's when they're young, for some it's old, but no matter when it still hurts however much you try and "be strong". My thoughts are with you and your family. It's a tough year, the first one. I hope you remember to lean on your friends who are there for you. ![]()

| My thoughts are with you & your family Steve, as Jacq said you will be able to do what is right for you. I sang the responsorial psalm at my daddy's funeral because I knew how much he loved to hear my singing voice. I had people behind me who would have taken over if I could not make it, but the strength came in knowing how proud he would be of me.... I'm sorry for your loss
