Then i won £50 in may as well.

Took the cheque to the bank and girl working there said "Oh another one. You wouldn't believe how many of these we've had in the last 2 months".

Seems im not the only one that suddenly started winning.
maybe because interest rates have gone up - the chance of winning is linked to interest rates, apparently http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bonds

I was bought one by my Grandad when I was born (in 1961 - a lot of money in them days). Don't know where it is. I wonder if it's won anything yet?

Well yours is older than mine - I was a bigger nipper at the time but it was 1963. Its not won anything. I think me and Sparky are alike. I never win anything but my old man always did. He won the pools, the lottery and just about all the old-folk's raffles every week. So if the bonds don't win anything now they are transfered to me it is really me that is jinxed. If they win are they lucky numbers or my old man's good fortune from the grave?

Chris

Could be the case, went on their site and unlike the lottery premium bonds are fixed prize amounts and varying number of winners. Still odd to get so much of a change the bank noticed though!

Of course, people with 32,000 are going to win more often than people with 100 etc.

You can still check and find out about lost PB's - make sure you use the correct site. I fell for the "this looks like the right place to check" and got succored into paying something ............ I don't remember how .......... f*ck*ng cnuts!!! I phoned up to give someone earache but ................

In fact - National Savings & Investments - part way down the page is the bit on "lost PB's" - it's free. Don't use one of the pay to find services!

Am I the only sad git who knows the first few digits of my own two (when I bought mine, the minimum purchase was two) premium bonds (4BN 08), my mums (1FF) one brothers (1AS) and other brothers (1AW)?

I even remember my best mates phone number when I was twelve!

Never mind all that premium bond malarkey, last week 'er indoors sent me an email saying she had won the lottery. Only natural I thought, she married me. Then she spoilt it by saying she had got £28 on the Euro Lottery and £2 on a scratch card.

What a bummer, now I have to stay out here for the duration.
