| Humanely disposing of baby fish. Where 'Humanely' means not killing them. Kirstie and I have become (grand)parents to about 20 little cichlids - not sure which type exactly However whenever I have had guppies or other live bearers, infant mortality, adult mortality and 'being on the menu' for other fish have alway ket the numbers stable. Since moving my tank down here, survival rates of existing fish seem to have increased and the cichlids are such good parents that they dominate 1/3 of the 180litre tank and keet to other fish away from the young. So it looks like there will be at least 20 survivors, far too many for the tank. A few are promised to 'liven up' someone else's tank, but what do I do with the others? Any ideas? r Paul Edit: BTW they are free to good homes, but cichlids can be a bit aggressive (they will scare of my plec which is about 4x their size).

Are there any tropical fish shops or fish-fanciers clubs in Plymouth - they might have contacts who could take them off your hands?
