Any small business owners out there?

I don't know if we got a special offer but Pitney Bowes are supplying us with a free trial (30 days) postage machine (inc £20 of free postage). The machine hasn't arrived yet but it sounds pretty good.

Anyway, if you are interested it might be worth phoning your local PB office to see if the same offer is available?

My brother used to say unmentionable things about ours - mostly to do with the inkjet ink it uses.
Don't be tempted to use somebody else's. It doesn't work out cheaper.

We use the RM's print your own stamps software these days.

Total wank M8 Take the free trial, then throw it back at them. The ink cartridges are outragiously expensive and last a few hundred stamps at best. Then dispite the rental you have to pay for an upgrade every time they change the postage rates (twice in the last 12months)

I worked out it trebbled the cost of my postage. Biggist mistake i ever made. My one just sits on the desk unused and I wish i could throw it back.

Dont touch PB at any cost.

Once your month has ended its upto you to cancel otherwise your in an annual contract or possibly a five year deal. No chnace to cancel. Ive spent the last eighteen months writing to PB to tell them they over charged me one months rental and charged me twice for consumables. After eighteen months, sending them their own accounts details with the over payments highlighted they have agreed reluctantly to a credit.

Complete bunch of t**ts.

Use Neopost instead. Not only that but the CEO of Neopost is a diver, regularly seen on Scimitar and at F&B in Portland.

You can buy the machine outright or rent. So much better than PB believe me.

PB= hassle=grief= essex rip off boys

Check the archives I think others on here had hassle with PB as well.

Phew I feel better now. The mear mention of PB gets me going.

Use the online Smartstamp from RM, Way Way Way cheaper. 4.99 a month.

No brainer.

When you open an online postage account with RM, you get a free download for your Windows PC. Once installed, you go to the appropriate page on the RM website and set the item on your keyboard, the software converts the keyboard into a set of scales and displays the weight and calculates the postage for different options eg 1st class, 2nd class, parcel post, international etc.
