You agree they are shy and would tend to avoid people. I agree with you that the release of mink was a bloody stupid thing, and I hate the sort of nutter that does that. Not native, kills all the weaker native animals. Bad, bad idea. I also agree with you that boar in Kent is probably not a good thing. However, I don't thinkit is because anyone is in danger! I come from a more puritanical viewpoint that these are escapees and not part of a well-thought out programme of pure-bred introduction to a suitable habitat. So, we aren't that far apart. Back to the tiger thing....tigers are cool, but having them in Hyde Park would be a pretty bad idea, and, in fact, as they are not native, I wouldn't want them anywhere in Britain. I do agree with the reintroduction of wolves to some of the more remote Scottish areas however, on a limited scale. Personally, I thinkyou have to look at how long an animal has been extinct for in Britain, and true wild boar (not mongrel piggies) have been extinct for hundreds of years, thus it is a little late to pretend we have good habitat. Somehwere like the Black Forest however is ideal and has enough native woodland to cope with a small population.

No its an opportunity. An opportunity to shoot and eat these lovely and delicious animals. More of 'em that's what we need. Not mink no. You're right there Mark. Can't eat them and the idiots that let them out want shooting (it wasn't Greenpeace at all BTW they don't do anything like that - it was some fuckwit animal liberation group). If there are too many piggies in Kent I am up for shooting some. Chris

We used to live trap them, but one got out in the back of my brothers Datsun 120Y, shite all over the interior, and then shot out through the drivers door as the two of us exited stage left and right. The smell was unbelievable & guess who had to clean it up Never had much time for the bastards ever since really.
