| When I met my mother in law for the first time she was deadly silent. than halfway through dinner she said 'I'm an old woman who is going to take care of me as I age?' I was afterall getting her only child and taking her away from Hungary to live in Portugal. I did say though and I believe it that relationships are often better when one lives so far apart than when living in the same city. My mother in law is a not the nicest of people and I'm glad there is 3,500km between us (as well as a nice language barrier!)
