Scams

After the last post about scams I was thinking.......what if we all replied to the scams we recieved?

My thought was that the scammers send out hundreds if not millions of emails hoping that one will be daft enough to believe him. If we replied with a nice polite note about his missspent life and how Tom Cruise would be glad to show him the error of his ways. Then the scammer would recieve thousands of emails back - probably clogging his email system. If it does not cause his email to grind to a halt then he has to open every one of the replies just in case someone has taken the bait.
For us it is a simple cut and paste to reply to 20 or 30 a day. For the scammer it is hours in front of the PC being told how worthless he is.

Anyone see a bad side to this?

it is tempting wasting as much of their time as they waste of mine,

when suffering from insomnia i do sometimes spend a pleasant hour or so entering all the fictitious bank account home pages entering random personal ID details into the boxes or replying to the "assistant to the bank of gobbledygook about his deceased persons remaining 10,000,000 and my share of it"

in the hope that every one will get some assholse hopes up only to dash them down again

in real terms i don't think it has any effect

Dave
