| I have a car that runs on LPG ,went to the garage fitted the gun , pushed the button & ......... nothing .Guy came out checked I had it on properly & decided my car is the problem . Now when I look in the end of the filler fitting on the car it looks like a tyre valve type affair inside (standard uk fitting ) there doesn't appear to be anything in the garages bayonet gun that would push the bar(?) in, so am I correct in thinking that once a certain amount of pressure is applied the valve opens automatically ? & that when you release the gun the valve closes ? If this is correct what pressure does it need to open the valve ? I don't think the garage pump was supplying enough pressure . TIA

| I've had this happen and it wasn't my car's fault. Try somewhere else and if it works, fine, the garage needs to service their nozzles - I have found alot of garages with dodgy nozzles; it is common; from those that don't 'latch on' (I think it's the latching on process that opens your tank), to those that leak a bit when filling (worn O-rings in nozzle). If that doesn't work, get the car looked at by a LPGA recommended garage. I've just had my car serviced by one and now it's back to running like new!

| John, IIRC didn't yours have a separate screwy-in bit that you had to screw-in to fill up? I know it was different to the one on mine now. ATB, Terry |
