My Solicitor will be insisting on simultaneous exchange, so that we're guaranteed a house at the end of it!

However, no exchange today, apparently the Solicitor at the bottom of the chain has seen fit to raise an enquiry about a bloody gate!

If we don't exchange Monday the sale can't happen Friday as they need 5 days to request funds so at least we won't have the hassle of splitting the move - it'll just be the wife moving whilst I'm in the Red Sea!

Our last move wasn't stressful at all, not for me anyway. Our house was on the market and almost sold, we saw the house she .... errrr .... we wanted and put a bid in. I signed a power of attorney and buggered off to China for 3 months. When I came back it had all happened, good job wifey, kissy kissy, my washing is in the suitcase

Actually she was brilliant, sorted it all out by herself and moved in what was probably the wettest week of the year with the worst rain being reserved for the day of the move.
