Induction Hobs

Have any of you guys got experience of these hobs. I fancy one for our new kitchen but there's loads of blurb about 32 amp etc. My hubby things we have 30 amp.

I've just been out to Asda and took my fridge magnet with me. Rumour has it that if a fridge magnet sticks to the base of a pan it is suitable for induction. One of the cheaper pans did this.

Any ideas.

induction

Hi
we got one of these and have been using it for about 6 months, we had to buy a new set of pots and pans as our stainless set never worked.

We tried a cheap set but due to the rapid heat they just get burnt at the bottom.

We have it in a 30amp breaker and its fine.

cooking takes a lot of getting use to and to be honest now i have been using it i probably wouldn't buy one it just cooks everything to quick even when we lower the settings.
They just cost a lot more money for a lot more burnt dinners lol and you can get a touch button standard electric cheaper and i think they are better to cook with.

This is only my opinion

Good luck if you buy one

Dave

Thanks for the reply Dave, at least we now know we can use it with a 30 amp fuse.

Will wait to see if anyone else has experience of these before I decide.
