Yes I remember rather liking him and Burt Lancaster when I was about 9, 10 years old ; but then they don't make romantic films like they used to
I did rather enoy their 'come back' together in Tough Guys
Of course Kirk was often with Tony and he was considered a bit of a dish. The Vikings was a good one

Anyway, I missed Spartacus on Friday but had a fab evening watching Ardal O'Hanlon who was every bit as funny as I expected

At the end we all stood up and said "I'm Father Dougal ......."

I love the way the old films used to soften the shot when they had the woman looking all gooey eyed at her man. They don't do that now. These days it is one of two formulae:


Boy meets girl
Boy falls in love with girl
Boy loses girl
Boy realises his mistake, changes his ways
Boy gets girl back

or

Girl meets boy
girl falls in love with boy
girl loses boy
girls realises her mistake, changes her ways
girl gets boy back

They still, however, ride off into the sunset an (theoretically) live happily ever after.
