| Movember. Somehow, I've allowed myself to get sucked into this. I don't know how, or why, because I've a horrible feeling that it's going to result in me leading a celibate lifestyle, at least until 1st December, when it's coming off. Anyway, I won't be botting anyone for sponsorship money, just agreed to do it to shut the mithering sods up and bec ause I piked out of the work team in the Burnie 10 fun run last week. I'll post before & afters in a months time. I've cheated as I stopped shaving yesterday morning but it's supposed to be tomorrow morning.

It really makes you wonder how far people will go for "charity" in your part of the world! |

| Sadly, it isn't just restricted to the poncy southerners. I heard somethign on the radio this morning about it and could only think yeuch. Surely there is a better way of showing support for such an important charity. Although i am sure that there will be some stoopeedos who think that growing one will prevent prostate cancer!

| Joking aside, I can say from experience that Prostate Cancer is a disease that is easy to brush aside as an "old mans" illness. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer at the age of 41, and without radical surgery, had been given about 5 years to live! Thankfully, I have a wife who "persuaded" me to go to my GP, a GP that took it seriously even though I was well outside the "typical" age-range, and a brilliant surgeon that carried out the surgery. I have two more "monitoring" consultations before I am classified as no longer at risk from this particular cancer. If any of you guys have any of the "old mens" symptoms, get it checked, regardless of your age! <and steps off his soap-box> Andrew PS> But growing a 'tashe... I don't think so! |

Cultural misunderstanding - "to bot" is to scrounge.
