| I used Legal and general, I was given a eneral quote (not including diving) by the mortgage advisor as a rough guide. I then shoped round Legal and general gave me a price over the phone then sent the questionaire, It asked reasonable questions ie, will you be diving in over head enviroments? how many dives a year do you do? how deep do you intend to dive? Will you be doing Deco Diving? Premium didnt change from the initial quote, although I am doing nothing other than basic Recreational diving Marc |

| Hey Jules Did you tell them that you flew half way around the world - taking six flights to get there - to dive on an active volcano - surounded by hundreds of scallop hammerheads - with a buddy who made you wait in the middle of circling silkys - until you ran out of air What do you expect your premiums to do Venus xx Last edited by Venus : 01-01-08 at 02:05 AM. |

| When we bought our house 5 years ago, I was quizzed about my diving and they dumped a huge monthly bill on us - how does €155 per month sound? Earlier this year I was going over my finances again and spent 3 days phoning and e-mailing and posting off forms and photocopies to the same company and have got it down to €39 per month! I told them the truth, even saying that I've been to 64m and intend to go there again, this time on CCR! The clincher was when I said that I have DAN Professional Insurance that covers me for all diving related accidents includiung death. |

| Funnily enough, we had the same this year when we had a hiatus between owning homes, and stopped the mortgage life cover. The quotes we got throught he broker when we went to get a new mortgage were loaded crazily once we said we dived. ended up going with Directline who gave a virtually unloaded quote and didn't even want to see the diving questionairre back that they sent us after a small bit of faffing (they said they needed it, then they didn't, then they did...finally they phoned back and confirmed they didn't). That was for stated worldwide diving, including UK at 70-80 dives a year down to 45-50m.
