| For collection boxes.. Dunno about anyone else, I usualy seperate my small change when I empty my pockets each day and put the copper and 5p coins to one side (am I the only person who detests the 5p coin?) Over the weeks it builds up and I usually have a fair amount for the charity collection door to door bods for the few that I support, Poppy Day, RNLI and the cancer research. Out in town I see no big deal in handing over a £5 note, the people who make the poppies usually gave a lot more than that. The brief silence on Sunday gives time to reflect...I usually wish I could do or give more but each year provides the opportunity to remember those who made sacrifices on our behalf. |
