the swell report looks interesting too, its predicting 50-60 foot swells so i wouldnt go planning any dives out of the flow for friday either!

Ok, so the power went off, we decided to make ourselves useful and come and check the boat was ok - she is fine, being blown against the pier so hardly moving or pulling on the ropes.

Then we decide, hell, lets go and see what the weather is doing....

Dive at the churchill barriers anyone? (the only road to the southern isles runs over the top of them)

Send the weather over to me. It's dry as a bone here, more fires in the last few days than the whole of summer. The chickens I've hatched havn't seen rain yet and they are 9 weeks old.

Great pics BTW. Surpised that there were not any surfers on those waves :-)

Yep, we got snow up here too...

The photos are really very deceptive, those waves are huge. The sea state is currently officially "Very High" which gives wave heights of 9 - 14m. No ferries are running at all and i think one flight got off the island this morning but not sure if any more made it.
