| I suppose I COULD go and look at the link but I prefer to rely on my own biased and ignorant suppositions BUT if reverse finning involves much foot waggling is there not a danger that when reversing out of a narrow space that:- a) The waggling will cause mucho disturbance of the silty stuff on the walls etc. b) There is a danger of the foot falling off as it unscrews itself from the ankle? Surely this is an unnecessary risk and should therefore be banned from DIR training? c) Now, I'm no scientist but it seems obvious to me that such foot waggling will cause the toenails to get dizzy and, as a result, probably start growing inwards? Indeed, I can only conclude that fish did indeed once have feet and have suffered the ultimate consequences of reverse finning? Use your pectoral fins for reverse finning or expect to be called stumpy in the not too distant future.

Or, you could bungie your slate to your hand, and have the same effect as the webbed glove, but also leaving you thumb free for it's 'other' use when required? ColinM
