I love Xmas so much i have volunteered to work a nightshift on Xmas day.

Its easily the worst time of the year.

I am also working New Years Eve 'cos thats the 2nd worst time of the year.

I'm probably going to work on my Birthday as thats No3

Oh and i worked on my wedding anniversary, but then i forgot that till i got into work.

Bah Humbug

Edit: The only time Xmas was any good was when i was away skiing over the period.

I worked the 8 to 8 middle of the day shift one Christmas - 1971 I think.
This was for a bus company, as duty 'spare' driver (an insurance requirement).
It's the only day that no buses ran at all.
To this day I don't know what I was there for.
I asked about 'What if there was a fire or something?' : 'Leave the premises.'
'Move any buses to safety?' : 'Not if there is a fire.'

Twelve hours on triple time with a good book.

I reckon the Dude was in my area yesterday, in two different vehicles.

now, just to correct you, (Sorry, Finless, whilst I borrow your pedant hat) I said that the pikey end of the village was preparing to blow up the national grid - or words along those lines. I didn't say that you lived in the pikey end of the village, although, being an ex-stanmore resident, I might say the posh end might have changed over the last 40 years.

I have no doubt with the fat-cat incomes in this sodding village that they too will prepare to use up all the power the little box at the end of my street can generate. However, it was only evident at the weekend in the chav-end (probably because the lanes that pass for drives round here have letter boxes at the end, rather than as an integral part of the front door to deliver my lost cat leaflets in).

But having said all that, i don't mind Christmas, at Christmas time. If that qualifies me to be top of your list for the Bah Humbug award. Too bad.

BTW, if Puff the cat returns, i will decorate her collar with tinsel and post a pic.
