| Oh god, I daren't tell her that quite a lot of people also find what some of us say irritating, she'll be in her element!! However, I find people on the telly who over gesticulate with their hands (its not a pervy thing) whilst they are talking very annoying. In fact I went on a sales course many years ago and the instructor asked each one of us to give a presentation of 3 minutes, using speech only and without using our hands. Its quite difficult. Even more so if you have a pointer or pen in your hand, you tend to fiddle with it. We is not all perfik!!

| I also worked for a company once and had my office in their industrial unit in the North East and the people who worked there were nearly all related somewhere down the line (very incestuous)!! However, they were lovely people but the general manager who I got on with best, used to get quite excited when he spoke to you and as a result quite often said "no, no, its what ye call it!" even when what you call it had nothing to do with the conversation!! He did make me laugh, bless him.

| A friend always starts any sentence that is questioning or disagreeing with "with all due respect ....." I think a lot of these type of sayings are the verbal equivalents of forum smilies?

| And the sad thing is that one day, if we follow in the steps of our litiguous (sp?) cousins across the pond, we'll start each sentence with 'no offence, but...' or similar. On a lighter note, my mum (seeing as she doesn't speak English very well), fills in the gaps with 'yeah'. I tend to end my sentences in 'man' if I am annoyed with the person that I am talking to. Innit?
