A word of warning

It s Friday and there s something I need to get off my chest and also scrounge around for info from other YD ers.
First off I m not out for sympathy, nor am I expecting folk to criticise me for being gullible/naive/fill in the blanks as required.
I like to think that I see the best in people and judge most as I expect to be judged myself and thats where the problem starts.
A while ago I advertised a few bits for sale and was contacted by a YDer called Tony aka" into the blue of guildy" .He was a new diver and was interested in a BCD and some regs.A few pm s either way and cutting a long story short I said he could try out the gear prior to buying
I m sure you can guess the rest, after a few more pm s telling me he was pleased with the gear but was having money problems, the communication stopped and he appears to have vanished.
I know I should still have the mailing address but a fault on the computer fecked up all my pm s and cleared the box,so no physical addy for me to pursue.
So if anybody knows where this character can be reached , a pm would be appreciated so at least I could pay him a Christmas visit.If not, at least it would serve as a warning to other souls who are as gullible as me not to deal with the clown.
Mind you ,if the regs have failed,the BCD burst and he s lying undiscovered at the bottom of Guildy, then ignore everything I ve written.

Lee, what a bummer!!

Not sure if this will help, but have you tried to contact any of the mods/admin, i'm sure they would be able to help with contact info. once they know the story behind your request!

Thats a real shame... sorry to hear it Lee... I have always found all I've delt with to be 100% trustworthy on here...

Very poor show . That's theft. I know the police won't be interested, how about small claims court?

EDIT Reading a few of his previous posts, he obviously knows/has dived with people on YD, and they have been online recently. Hopefully they will contact him, and point out the error of his ways.

Failing that, it looks like he bought a YD fleece from Gary (warmwaterdiver), maybe he has some contact details.

Oh, Lee, i am really sorry to hear that. Like you, I never think that someone on here would rip me off.

I completely understand why someone would want to try something out before they spend money on it - we all have limited resources. But, FFS, to not keep in touch, not pay, as Darren says, that is theft. However, without any contact details, it is going to be a tough one to chase.

Surely someone on here knows who he is and how to get in touch.

But, on a brighter note, if you need to earn a bit of cash, there is always a garden here to be sorted out.... reasonable rates paid
