I'll hold my hand up and say, "Yeah, I ran away" Why did I leave Sooty? I live in Thailand now and have adopted much of the culture, I have no intention of trying to convert Thais to be anything like Brits. The Thais invite all to their country but come down hard on those that overstep the mark - in the UK we give aid and wellfare to the likes of one-eyed Whats-his-face with the hook. That old comedy stand-by, where an old codger say's, "I've only got one lung - lost it fighting fer me country I did... " is sadly true, they did and Blair threw that sacrifice into the sh1t-pot. Its sad...

I agree in parts, although I'm not going to say which parts (yeah, cowardly I know). However I'm of the opinion that Britain can grow and become stronger by taking on new and different ways of looking at things.

Whether that's by seeing this sort of thing and saying "No way will that happen while I've got some form of say", or by saying "Hmm, welcoming people and being nice?", it's all coming from an open mind.

I'm not accusing you of having a closed mind, but that you have a different opinion to me on certain subjects.

I just scared myslef by thinking what would the world be like if everyone was like me? A damn sight worse off, really.

Sorry this is rubbish. Try posting up funny soap adverts about the prophet in Saudi. Britain is a liberal democracy and despite its many faults has much to be proud of. Not least its tolerance of incoming cultures. Something sadly it seems to be losing. The grip of fear is the Daily Mail telling lies about everything and all the stupid sad old twats that read it clucking like a mother hen seeing a fox. The tabloid press is really the biggest thing wrong with the UK. Together with the fuckwits that read and believe it.

Also a Muslim journalist talking to that lying Muppet Brown yesterday raised the point that Thousands of Muslim kids call their toys and pets Mohamed and have done for generations

Tolerance of a religion whose followers want to imprison/whip a woman because her school class named a Teddy Bear Mohamed? Tolerance of a religion that supports the stoning to death of women guilty of adultery? Granted these are more extreme 'interpretations'?

Tolerance of a religion whose adherants in other countries want to return to the stone age where women aren't even allowed an education? How the hell are they supposed to work out the instructions to work the washing machine etc?

I am as open to other cultures as the next person. I am not a racist in any shape or form. But I don't like it when we have to step backwards with our culture in order to accomodate some of the more extreme parts of the Islamic faith. How long ago were the Crusades? 12th century? Oh well, only another 900 years and maybe they will get it, too?

As with eveything else to do with England we seem to have things 'arse about face'. Rights and freedoms are being eroded in order to protect things that don't really need it.

The first thing to do is start beating kids again. a) It makes them tougher and b) they aren't so bloody lippy in the future.

How can you, for example, enforce positive discrimination? You either like or you don't. Would you put up with it when chosing your spouse? Of well, your not allowed to discriminate against women who aren't blonde or haven't got big tits or have short hair or ........................
