Anyway... Toys being called Mohammed are not anything new. A quick google provided this example...

Of course you are right 90% media hype but how many “fuckwits” read it!! Millions, I’m lucky in my role I get to see the world and meet lots of people from lots of different cultures and religions and never seen any hostility, apart from my army days. In my humble view the issue or a lot of it within the UK is people from repressed areas where they have none or very few rights coming to the UK suddenly have every door open to them, they are not used to what a western society can offer. Some adapt, some don’t. Another issue is integration it’s not that bad down south but London and further up north its more segregation than integration, and this in its own right causes problems. As someone already stated the world would be better off without religion and it would be great if the decision makers around the world would make the decisions based on what’s best for the country its people and not on religious grounds. Again in my humble view the way things are going and with the media hype I can see the race riots kicking off again, am I correct in saying that race related crime is on the increase I think I read it somewhere J
If these fundamentalists that are so keen on giving 50 lashes to a school teacher that was trying to help their children in their god forsaken country want to live in the 15th century then so be it, but in their country not ours and if they are British then ha ho there are plenty of places they can go.

Now I’m going before the flack hits

That's the nub of it though. The people behind this (from what I have read also ) are trying to foment problems in order to remove outside influences from the country. They don't represent the majority, but the minority of repressive anti-westerners. In that I agree, although they might be a little rubbed up by your description of "their" country as god forsaken

I think we can all agree religion is a bad thing and the heart of the problem....

I think I'm a lot older than you so I would like to suggest that we agree that the core of the religions are fine and it is just the introduction of man into the equation that messes things up, esp his interpretations? Oh, and God is great!

Perhaps I'll become a Hindu or Buddhist. Karma is the answer? It could be for the Islamic the fundamentalists? Just when they are about to "go off on one" someone should be there shouting out "karma! karma!" until they are all karmed.

I can imagine God got pretty pissed off the day of the first war when both sides were praying to Him to help them live and for Him to smite mightily their enemies. I should imagine He went back to His creation drawing board to see what went wrong?

Fairly accurate though, isn't it? They've just got over the civil war in the south and in a couple of years they're going to vote for independence. Then there's the genocide in Darfur. And if that's not bad enough, we've sent them John Bantin.

I can't help thinking that if these people became divers they would have a better understanding of the important things in life.

O-H - M-Y - G-O-D, I've just thought - don't GUE/DIR do a fundamentalists course? :omg

And they have secret hand signs!

Nobel prize winning physicist Steven Weinberg stated that
“With or without [religion] you’d have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion.”
