| TV Rant Just finished watching the second part of Innes McCartney's Jutland program on Discovery Whatever. Why are they now treating us like Americans, i.e. recapping the last segment after an advert break - it's 2.5 minutes, I've not forgotten the last 15 minutes. Actually, in a way it's a good thing because my soddin' Virgin TVplus box cuts out the sound every minute or so. AND ITV now seem to be having advert breaks every 15 minutes in hour long programs instead of every 20. Finally why do we have to have dubbed adverts, after 40 years of watching Top of the Pops, it's painfully obvious when it's the same language, maybe an Anglicised American advert, but why do we have to have totally foreign Clearasil ads. And breathe....

| the increase in ads in frustrating, i noticed on channel 4 at peak times they do it and oon channel five during that titanic thing it had only been on five mins before it had cut to a break, and over the weekend they show x factor or what ever it is over and over againm its appaling not only is it dumbed down its repeated over and over and over and over, there must be far less money being spent on quality programming now, and half the numbskulls who are paid rediculous ammount of money should be sacked and replaced with interesting new programs since i havent been out as much i have noticed how poor daily programing is for how much it costs its truly horrendous

| Best way to avoid it - don't watch TV! I watch Top Gear and Spooks, the only things I can find worth bothering with. And i'm rarely in when they're on so end up downloading them anyway. David |
