Steve's rule:
Ask wife what she wants for Xmas. Say "great pop out and get it and give me the VISA slip"

My kind of shopping.

  • When in a car park, ignore the arrows. they were put there to give the workmen an extra days work, not to advise drivers which way to go round. By ignoring them, you can clog up the whole carpark.

i am buying just over £1k of new house stuff and was told by the manager of the shop a few weeks ago that they will be having a 10 percent off sales at the beginning of December so buy then

looking on their website this afternoon I discovered that the sale was on Friday 30th and Saturday 1st, so i had missed it (today is sunday 2nd)

i stormed round there and said that 'i was told it would be a december sale and what's the point of doing a sale on a friday and saturday, it should be a saturday and sunday?'

without any quibble he gave me a 20 percent off friends and family voucher

what a nice man - see it's not all that bad out there
